Parking Restrictions

Clark – Both Sides: Newport to Addison

  • 9/7: 3pm-Midnight
  • 9/8: 2pm-Midnight

Clark – East Side Only: Waveland to Irving Park

  • 9/7: 3pm-Midnight
  • 9/8: 2pm-Midnight

Addison – Both Sides: Wilton to Clark

  • 9/7: 3pm-Midnight
  • 9/8: 2pm-Midnight

Addison – North Side Only: Clark to Southport

  • 9/7: 3pm-Midnight
  • 9/8: 2pm-Midnight

Irving Park – Both Sides: Clark to Seminary

  • 9/7: 3pm-Midnight
  • 9/8: 2pm-Midnight

 

Parking Restriction for Concert Setup/Take Down 8/29-9/9

Racine – Grace to Green Lot Entrance: East Side Only

Sheffield- 3700-3721- No Parking – Both Sides: Trucks will be entering and exiting the parking lot on the west side of Sheffield

 

Street Closures 8/29-9/9

Sheffield (Addison to Waveland): Full Street Closure (Except Fire Lane)

Waveland (Sheffield to Kenmore): Full Street Closure (Except Fire Lane)

 

What to Expect as Concert Setup/Takedown Takes Place

  • Trucks, Crane(s), Forklift(s), etc. will beginning lining up on Waveland beginning August 29th after the Cubs Game and proceed to Sheffield where they will be unloaded and move materials into the Ballpark.
  • Trucks will be traveling from both Irving Park between Clark and Sheffield and the Camry (Green Lot) at Grace and Racine to the ballpark during both setup and takedown.
  • Wrigley Field will be transformed into a concert venue with the installation of staging, sound and lighting equipment. Seating areas will be added to field.
  • The Lights at Wrigley Field will be on throughout the week as the Concert Setup/Takedown takes place.

 

Lights will be on OVERNIGHT to facilitate concert setup and take down beginning August 29th.

 

Lights will be on as per the below schedule:

Thursday, Sept 6: 7:00 PM to Midnight

Friday, Sept 7: 12:01 AM to 1:00 AM

Friday, Sept 7: 11:00 PM to Midnight

Saturday, Sept 8: Midnight to 8:00 AM

Saturday, Sept 8: 11:00 PM to Midnight

Sunday, Sept 9: Midnight to 8:00 AM

Sunday, Sept 9: 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Sound Testing

Sound testing should be anticipated on the evening before each show. In addition, performance rehearsals will occur on each concert date (September 7th and September 8th), between Noon and 4pm.

 

Limo and Taxi Information

In an effort to minimize the impact of traffic in the community around Wrigley Field, the 44th Ward, the Chicago Police Department, OEMC and the Chicago Department of Transportation have established the following pickup/outbound regulations for Taxis, limousines, and car services for the concerts:

 

Ride Share Drop off/Pick up designations are located at:

  • From North: Irving Park Rd. between Clark St. and Seminary Av.
  • From South: Clark St. (west side of the 3300 block) , south of Roscoe St., facing southbound

Gates Open

Friday September 7th: Billy Joel – Gates open at 6pm  :   Show begins at 8pm

Saturday September 8th: Fall Out Boy – Gates open at 4:30pm  :   Show begins at 6:30pm

 

Expect pyrotechnics displays and fireworks to take place during the Fall Out Boy show Saturday, September 8.

 

  • Residential Permit Parking will be in effect. Vehicles parked in violation of the Residential Permit Parking regulations are subject to ticket.
  • Priority Towing will take place in all special areas designated as No Parking
  • Vehicles parking in violation of parking regulations resulting in a public hazard, such as Bus Stops No Parking/Tow Zones, crosswalks, driveways, alleys, etc. will be strictly enforced and are subject to Ticket & Tow.
  • Residents are encouraged to contact the Night Game Hotline (1-866-427-3869) to report quality of life issues requiring POLICE ATTENTION.
  • Please call 911 in cases of emergency.
  • General complaints regarding the concert should be directed to the Chicago Cubs at 773-404-CUBS or via email neighbors@cubs.com.
  • During Pre & Post Concerts, at the discretion of the Police and/or OEMC, Clark between Grace and Sheffield and Addison between Racine and Halsted may be closed to vehicular traffic as a Public Safety measure. Traffic will then be rerouted North/South on Racine and Halsted. While this may be inconvenient, public safety is of the utmost importance.
  • Parking is available at the remote lot, located at 3900 N. Rockwell, with a free shuttle to the concerts. The remote lot will be open 3 hours prior to each concert.
  • “Hospitality Teams” an independent third party hired by the Chicago Cubs will be throughout the neighborhood. The team aims to provide a visible presence in the community.
  • TAILGAITING AND ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION ON THE PUBLIC WAY ARE PROHIBITED AND WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.
  • LOITERING WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ON ANY STREETS SURROUNDING WRIGLEY FIELD INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO; CLARK, ADDISON, WAVELAND AND SHEFFIELD.
