The City of Chicago utilizes mechanical street sweepers to remove debris and litter from streets. Residential Streets Sweeping program will begin on Tuesday, April 1st. Residents can view street sweepers in real time using the Sweeper Tracker online tool. Street sweeping requests should be made to city’s request line at 3-1-1 or click on the button below to make your request.
Zone-By-Zone Timeline
- The BLACK ZONE, which covers Racine to Belmont, from Sheffield to Diversey, will be swept April 11th and 14th
- The LIGHT ORANGE ZONE, which covers Halsted to Wellington, from Lake Shore to Diversey, will be swept April 1st and 2nd
- The LIGHT BLUE ZONE, which covers Halsted to Belmont, from Lake Shore to Wellington, will be swept April 3rd and 4th
- The PINK ZONE, which covers Halsted to Cornelia, from Belmont to Lake Shore, will be swept April 8th and 9th
- The DARK GREEN ZONE, which covers Sheffield to Belmont, from Halsted to Diversey, will be swept April 7th and 10th
- the YELLOW ZONE, which covers Racine to Roscoe, from Halsted to Belmont, will be swept April 17th and 18th
- The RED ZONE, which covers Racine to Addison, from Roscoe to Halsted, will be swept April 29th and 30th
- The PURPLE ZONE, which covers Southport to Addison, from Racine to Belmont, will be swept April 15th and 16th
- The LIGHT GREEN ZONE, which covers Racine to Irving Park, from Addison to Halsted, will be swept April 23rd and 24th
- The DARK BLUE ZONE, which covers Greenview to Grace, from Southport to Melrose, will be swept April 25th and 28th
- The ORANGE ZONE, which covers Southport to Byron, from Racine to Addison, will be swept April 21st and 22nd
