44th Ward 2025 Community Plan
After nearly a year of input from thousands of residents through our in-person open house, community meetings, surveys on an earlier draft, and more, Alderman Lawson released the 2025 Community Plan.
This is Lakeview’s first comprehensive neighborhood plan in nearly 20 years, following the last plan written in 2006. The new 2025 Community Plan reflects the voices of residents, includes a history of our neighborhood and how it’s evolved. and focuses on four main pillars of life in Lakeview:
- 1) Housing, Affordability, Development, Smart Density
- 2) Local Businesses & Commercial Corridors
- 3) Transit & Infrastructure
- 4) Neighborhood Amenities
This plan also includes 30+ concrete action items for the 44th Ward office to achieve progress on these four pillars in the years ahead. But our partnership doesn’t end here—this is just the beginning! We’ll need your help to bring these ideas to life and ensure Lakeview continues to thrive for generations to come.
