Barry Sewer Main Replacement (Broadway to Pine Grove) February 14th Update
Department of Water Management (DWM) crews are scheduled to begin installing 840 feet of new 24- inch sewer main in Barry from Broadway to 200 feet east of Pine Grove on Thursday, February 20th. The old sewer main needs to be replaced to create a more reliable and efficient system.
Be prepared for the following restrictions:
- Traffic: DWM crews may need to close or limit traffic during construction for safety reasons. You will always be able to reach your home or business on foot. Outside of working hours, a travel lane will be left open for local traffic only.
- Parking: DWM crews will post “No Parking” signs, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Parking outside posted hours and days is allowed, but cars will need to be moved by the start of the next workday. Crews will try to preserve as much parking as possible.

All underground work is scheduled to be complete by Wednesday, April 1st followed by concrete, asphalt and landscape restoration of sidewalk, curb, gutter, street and parkways impacted by the sewer main replacement work. Restoration work is scheduled to be complete at the end of May.
