Energy Assistance Tools


  • LIHEAP - The purpose of LIHEAP is to assist eligible households to meet the cost of heating and cooling in residential dwellings.  LIHEAP provides one-time bill payment assistance to income eligible households.  This is a first come-first served program, so it’s critical that if residents need help, they need to find out if they’re eligible and find the nearest application office. 
  • Share the Warmth - Administered for Peoples Gas by the Community and Economic Development Association (CEDA), Share the Warmth provides heating grants to limited and fixed-income households. Eligible customers who make a payment toward their bills receive matching grants of up to $200.
  • Peoples Gas Natural Gas Savings Program - offers rebates and other incentives to encourage customers to make energy-efficient improvements to their properties.

  • ComEd Assistance Programs -  offers a range of financial assistance programs to help qualified customers with paying their electric bills, and ComEd support energy-assistance programs that help those in need.
  • ComEd Smart Ideas® - Energy Efficiency Program provides tips, tools, and rebates that help you save money and energy.  You can also signup for monthly savings tips and news about events and contests.
  • ComEd Smart Meters - Customers who have smart meters installed at their homes can enjoy the following benefits: access your electricity-usage information 24/7, understand how much electricity you’re using and when, giving you more control and take advantage of online energy-management tools and optional pricing programs to help you save.
