Senior Advisory Council

The 44th Ward Senior Advisory Council is an organization which meets to discuss issues and events in the ward which have an impact on its senior citizens.  The council discusses such issues as real estate and commercial developments going on in the ward and their impact on population density, the economy, traffic congestion and other issues of importance to seniors.  Guest speakers are brought in to speak on health and wellness issues, financial issues and other topics of interest to seniors.  The council also gives input on these issues to Alderman Tunney as to their impact on seniors' lives.

The 44th Ward Senior Advisory Council meets the third Thursday of every other month (odd numbered months) at the Hallmark on the 37th Floor Skyline Room at 2:00pm.  The next meeting is scheduled for Sept. 15, 2011, but since this is the date of our annual Senior Picnic it will be postponed until November 17, 2011.  Any questions about the council can be directed to Vince Egan at 773-525-6034 or vincent.egan@cityofchicago.org.
