    Start the New Year off right by recycling your Christmas tree! I will be collecting Christmas trees for recycling beginning on Friday, January 5, 2018 through Sunday, January 7, 2018. The City's Christmas tree recycling program is an easy and environmentally-friendly alternative for residents to dispose of their trees. Recycling Christmas trees allows the City to divert thousands of Christmas trees away from landfills for reuse in our community. Please sign up using the online form below.

    This service is only available to residents of the 44th Ward that have registered for the service.

    The four- to nine-hour tax training is free. Volunteers are only asked to commit from 12-25 hours of their time serving clients at tax sites. Volunteering to be a trained and certified tax preparer is a unique and highly impactful way to help fellow Chicagoans and give back to your community. As one volunteer points out: "There's nothing more rewarding than getting someone a tax refund who really, really needs the money... when you're done, you feel great!"
